HazMat application for CDL license is required under USA Patriot, but does anyone know if a CDL license with HazMat can be copied and retained, or is that a prohibited practice (not retained with loan or account documentation).

My husband holds a valid commercial CDL with a Hazmat "endorsement". The fact that his CDL holds this endorsement has not stopped anyone either in his line of work or him opening a new account from retaining a photocopy.
