We are looking at a busines that indicates it is an LLLP. What is an LLLP? Does anyone know what the CIP reqirements would be for an LLLP?

I think it is LLP, limited liability partnership. The should be treated like a partnership account; a copy of the partnership agreement, a TIN, an LLP authorization and we would ID all partners as well.

Thanks. I also thought it was a limited liability partnership; however, the extra "L" threw me! This is an LLLP. That's the way the business' resolution is stated and the way it is recorded on the State's listing.

The document is most likely correct. I came across this animal at a previous community bank.

Here's some info about Limited Liability Limited Partnerships that should answer your questions about why they exist.
