This question is for small "Large Banks". Those with asset s around $275 to $500 Million. Who is your CRA Officer? What is their position with your bank. For instance I am the CRA Officer at our bank but I am also the Sr. Retail Loan Officer overseeing production.

I am our CRA Officer and I am the Compliance/BSA Officer for the bank. I wish they would make a decision on us small "large banks". What are you doing for CRA right now? We are not required to report small farm/small bsuiness loans as of yet.

We are about $450 million in assets and I am the CRA/Compliance Officer also in charge of Privacy & some Info. Security.

We are continuing to report data & maintain CRA compliance records and documentation until we have received a final rule. As I sit and scrub some of our data today, I too wish they would make a decision as to what to do with us little-big banks!!

My bank is approx. 250 million. I am the CRA Officer, BSA Officer and Sr. Compliance Officer. We have not had to do any CRA reporting (small farm/small business)yet; however, we will have to start reporting in 2006 (our holding company is over 1 billion). Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should be doing now to prepare for CRA reporting in 2006.....other than pray a lot?

Will you be reporting 2005 data in 2006, or begin collecting data in 2006 to report in 2007?

If are reporting 2005 data in 2006 and haven't started collecting data you are way behind the curve.

It would take a very long post to answer your question on preparation, so give me a call and I'll be pleased to go over the internal data collection process. 702-263-9706

Rest assure there is no need to pray as there is nothing difficult about what is required. There are rules you need to know and an implamentation of the rules to obtain the data you need. BOL has some very useful tools over in Bankers Tools.

We just bought a branch Friday so I think we are now at $400 million. I do CRA, compliance and privacy with no help.
