I've been asked to assist our COO/BSA Officer with our annual BOD BSA Training - so I'm trying to think of topics that should be covered and making them interesting to this high level 'oversight' committee!

Know that we'll cover our focus this - MSB's, HRCL, etc and why the focus, but what have others covered with such a group? Feel free to PM if you prefer.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

It's the first time I've been asked to assist with a BOD presentation, so want to do it righ!!!

I attended a training for the Board on BSA, etc. that was presented by the regulators. It was a general overview of the significant areas and an explanation of the things the regulators look for when they come in at exam time.

I do all the Board Training for my bank. I have 10 minute power points and the board gets a training just prior to each quarterly meeting. Last meeting was the riveting Suspicious Activity PP. Next quarter it's MSB's. It's amazing what they don't know and believe me what you can cram into 10 minutes is only the beginning. One new Trustee bless his little heart stated that he did not know how in the world we keep up on the regualations and he was very impresssed. I think I will let him stay. And the examiners love this continuous training thing for board members.
