Small Bank here. We file about 80 SARs a year. Any suggestions for automated software for SAR filing and tracking? Regulator thinks it would be better if we automate our manual process.

We are working on switching to E-file. It takes many steps but people say it is worthwhile. Check the FinCEN Web site for details.

If you aren't making use of the SAR software that FinCEN has on their website, that would be a quick and easy way of doing it. We're a $3Billion bank and that's what we use--along with an excel spredsheet that acts as a log of when things come in, get decisioned, and when they are reported to the Audit Committe of the BOD.
