As a preview of the data thought the following information would be of interest to Intermediate-small banks:
The 8th largest originator of Small Business loans in the entire country with 267,105 small business loans is an IS lender and won't have to report loans next year! Guess who it is?
There are 1,217 IS banks that reported originating small business loans last year. Of these IS lenders:
846 (70%) had fewer than 500 SB originations (10/week)
505 (42%) had fewer than 250 SB originations (5/week)
The average number of SB originations for the entire group was 437 (i.e., 8/week). Now how much money are most of these banks going to save if they choose not to report next year?
