Does anyone have some kind of SAS 70 review checklist they currently use to ensure a thorough review of the report? What parts of the report should be of particular focus for banks to review?

depends on why you have the SAS 70. Are you getting one on a service provider you use? If so, what are the greatest risks they pose to you? If IS plays heavily into the risk and they are relying on their IS, then you need to ask for SAS 70 that covers IS.
If I had more background, perhaps I could be more specific.

You're right in noting that the focus of the review will depend on why you have the SAS 70 to begin with - is it your core service provider or an ancillary provider. I don't have a checklist to share with you, but two areas that I always focus on are:

1)What deficiencies have been noted and how does management plan to correct them?

2)What are the User Control Considerations? Layman terms: what procedures / systems does your bank need to have in place in order to maintain a sound control environment in connection with the service provider?

Hope this helps!
