We are new to HMDA this year as you can tell I have asked a million questions. If a home improvement loan is not secured by real estate, but you don't code them as home improvement on the system, do we have to report these loans on the HMDA LAR? Any help is appreciated.

If you classify them as home improvement in any way (separate file drawer, different color files, anything that would distinguish them from your other applications), you would need to report home improvement loans not secured by a dwelling.
