Take a careful look at Regulation CC, subsection 229.36(b). If you fail to include an address of your bank on checks, checks drawn on your bank may legally be presented at any branch or head office. That could mean that another bank could bring a bundle of checks to one of your branches and demand payment. It's not a practice that many banks resort to, but putting an address on the check can prevent it.
