I am trying to compile a list of record retention guidelines for our branches. Does anyone have a good resource for the amount of time that we are supposed to keep various documents in Washington State?

We use the Financial Institutions Record Retention Manual from Financial Managers Society. The web site is http://www.fmsinc.org. Sorry I am so slow.

That is an interesting question. We have always used this product, and just recently ordered the 5th edition. I just briefly glanced at it, and see some differences in some schedules. This record stuff can be a full time job.

We use the same retention manual, and it is pretty easy to navigate and self explanatory
