I have looked and searched and I can't find it....

Where, what regulation (if any) says that a paper check cannot be presented to the Fed more than twice? Is it in Reg CC or Reg J? One of our customers is requesting "just where does it say that?"

From the FRB Operating Circular 3:

3.0 Items We Do Not Handle As Cash Items

3.1 A sender should not send to us any item if:

(f) The item has been dishonored two or more times.

Of course, the Fed's rule doesn't prevent the check from being presented in other ways. It can be presented in person or via a collection letter, for example.
