I just received an email from a company in reference to the Reg. E updates, involving ECK Transactions. Does the banks EFT disclosure need to change to reflect the changes? I thought it was the merchant that was affected by the changes.

Take a look at the model disclosures in Appendix A to Regulation E. There have been a number of changes designed to refer to check conversions. If you have not informed your consumer depositors of the fact that they may authorize an EFT in the form of a check conversion, you need to do so. The change effectively means you have to provide Reg. E new account disclosures to all new transaction account customers.
