We are looking at using a third party vendor to provide our business customers with remote deposit capture. We have talked to two vendors and are leaning toward Magic Wrighter. Does anyone use them and what do you think? Or can you provide me with names of other companies to talk to? We are a small community bank and it would be too costly at the current time to provide this in-house.

Yes, we have, and the cost for the module is more than we want to commit to at this time.

Call Software Earnings Inc @ 901-322-9273. They are a vendor that we have under consideration.

Does anyone have a list of risks associated with RDC they would be willing to share?

we are using NetDeposit. We evaluated a total of 14 vendors and chose them. They are a subsidiary of Zion's Bank.

If you google it, there is some good reading out there. Net Deposit's site is a good place to start, too. Good links. Try remostedepositcapture.com and gonzobanker.com

Don't forget to involve your BSA officer so your risk assessment can be updated.

We added approval for RDC right next to ACH origination in the Cash Mgmt area.
