I thought I remembered seeing a post or article on appropriate situations when a bank can accept money from people on behalf of some benefit but I cannot find it now. One of our banks is wanting to place and ad in the paper that people can drop off their money for a sports related benefit (help pay the expenses for some kid to go somewhere?), the money will not be deposited in an account. I thought I remember seeing something that did not allow this (i.e., we would have to open up an account instead). Can someone point me in the right direction?
