Are there any requirements regarding notification of inactive internet bank account holders? If they do not log in within a certain amount of time i.e. 60 days or 90 days,etc then are we required to eliminate their access code as a security measure?

If this is a federal requirement, can someone point me to a cite. Thanks.

I don't think you will find any specific "banking" requirement for this however...

Best practice (i.e. NIST 800-53 AC-2(3)) dictates that inactive accounts should be disabled. We place the notification that we may take such actions in the original internet banking agreement or disclosure.
