Should incoming wires be treated differently from ACH compliance-wise? If the beneficiary name does not match the valid account name, should the wire be returned? I am not a deposit compliance officer but I play one on TV.

wires only need a valid account number to post. if you choose to put a tighter restriction on this, such as name and account number must match, that is your call.
