We have some accounts where the minor is the Primary member and the guardian is Joint. Is it a reg that the the joint owner must occampany the Primary member to withdraw money? Or would that be something we set in our own policy.

I mean what if someone other than the joint owner brings in the primary member (say the primary is 6 years old) and they say he/she wants to withdraw money.

Thanks in advance!

Karen, this is really where the "rubber meets the road" on knowing your customers (and their families). How should you react if I, a perfect stranger, show up with a six-year-old, and suggest that the kid wants to withdraw $500 of his money? Would you contact the kid's parents/guardian to find out if things are OK? How would you verify the ID of your kid-customer? Is he packing a license or passport? Don't think so.

You need to be familiar with the laws in your state (you might try posting this in the Kentucky forum, too), and the terms of your deposit agreement.
