Does Reg D have a commentary. I ask because it has been said that if the bank closes an account due to excessive transactions, the bank doesn't have to open the same type of account for that customer for one year. I cannot find this anywhere in the regulation and I can't seem to find a commentary on Reg D--not unless the interpretation in the reg is the "commentary".

I don't think that 1 year is part of the reg, but the gurus posted this some time ago, and I think it addresses your question.
