Investigating Check Truncation in stop sending images of checks with our customer statements. I am wondering if anyone knows if PA has a state law that you must offer a number of check copies yearly for free.

We are trying this option to save postage costs, etc. Also push our customers to e-statments where check images would be available to the customer.

I don't know of any law as such. However, my previous bank did offer copies free as a courtesy for the first year. Sort of to cushion the transition from receiving check to not receiving checks. Then again with all the talk of mandatory check truncation and imaging you may have started a snowball.
