I just noticed that the OCC web site now has a version 6.2 of the APR WIN program. It indicates it was released in May 2008.

Has anyone downloaded this? Did it explain how it differed from version 6.1?

Downloaded and started using today without noticing it was new version until I read your post, so I don't think there is a significant difference!

Thanks. I had sent an e-mail to the OCC asking what the difference was between version 5.0 and 6.2 since their web site provides instructions on how to keep version 5.0 on your computer and install the newer version. Here's the reply I received.

"The major difference between APRWIN v5.0 and v6.2 is that v6.2 is compatible with more Windows-based operating systems, except Vista. There are no significant changes to the way the program functions."

so...if I have 6.1, no real need to bother with changing then, huh.

Don't get rid of Version 5 if you have an old computer to run it on. Ver. 5 stood the test of time & benefitted from 5 generations of debugging and improvements.

Ver. 6.xx is really Ver. 1.xx of a different piece of software because it is being produced by different people. We've seen errors & limitations introduced in V. 6.x--what else don't we know?
