Requesting copy of commitment letter
Answer by Mary Beth Guard and John Burnett, BOL Gurus
Guru BIOS

Question: Can a customer request a copy of a commitment letter for a loan?

Answer: I see no reason that the customer should not be able to ask for such a copy, assuming that he is the person to whom the commitment is issued. If that’s not the relationship in your scenario, I’d say no.

The original version appeared in the September/October 2004 edition of the Oklahoma Bankers Association Compliance Informer.
