Correcting an Improperly Recorded Mortgage

Question: Our Loan Auditor found that one of our mortgages was recorded as homestead property and it is not homestead property, do we need to re-record the mortgage?

Answer: The answer will depend on state law. I suggest you post the question in the applicable BOL State Forum or contact a local real estate attorney.
