"On Hold" Telephone Marketing & FDIC Insurance Disclosure
Answer by Rick Wemmers, BOL Guru
BIO AND CONTACT INFO

Question: We are going to start putting marketing messages on the phone system that the customer will listen to when they are put on hold. My question is - Can we advertise the Bank, the Investment Center and Insurance Company in the same message? The recorded message will not mention FDIC insurance.

Answer: I would think that for a telephone message you don't need to reference all you suggest. Just keep it simple. Cover yourself when someone calls or visits the bank, with details.
