How a Good Interior Designer Can Help Traffic Flow
Answers by Kate Ogle
BIO AND CONTACT INFO

Recently, I had the opportunity to participate in the plans to design a new branch for a small community bank. Management decided to enlist the help of an interior designer. One of the main goals in the design was getting good traffic flow without using all those ugly ropes & barriers. How do you get customers to look at your brochure desk? How can customers walk up to a teller line without getting stuck in a long line? Boy, was I impressed, as the decorator was able to make traffic flow by choosing the correct furniture and placement, and picking the floor design. Have you ever walked into a building and there are no barriers but people seem to be standing in the right place and the correct line and they don’t even know why? A good designer can save you time, space, and money by giving you tips next time you redecorate or plan a new building. Many people think that designers are only for the rich and famous… My tip: Use one .. it will save you money and you will be pleased with your investment.
