DBA LLC Account Styling
Answer by John Burnett, BOL Guru Guru Bios
Question: Can an account be set up in a DBA's name when it is an LLC based DBA, i.e. ABC LLC is doing business as XYZ, can the account be set up in the name of XYZ?
Answer: Just as is the case when setting up a DBA for a sole proprietor, the account title should reflect the true owner of the funds. In your hypothetical, the account should be titled "ABC LLC." You can add "DBA XYZ" if you wish, but the true owner's name must be shown.
