"VOID" Security Feature and Imaging
Answer by John Burnett, BOL Guru Guru Bios
Question: If an official check shows "VOID VOID VOID" on the check when copied, will it show on the image?
Answer: That is one of the issues discussed by the ANS standards committee. They agreed that most imaging programs would pick up the "VOID" feature in the image of the check, and users of such images will have to become accustomed to this phenomenon. It's ironic that this is one security feature that's likely to survive successfully in an image!
