by Randy Carey, BOL Guru

Question: We have a customer who was two corporations and wants to open a joint business account. The account would include both corporate names. The customer's accountant suggested this. Is this possible?
Answer: The two corporations would be forming a partnership and would have to provide appropriate documentation supporting that fact. As far as I am aware, two separate corporations cannot be joint account holders.
