Issuing CDs - W9 Certification

Question: We are looking at going to book-entry CDs. The W9 certification is currently on our certificate of deposit. The W9 certification is not included on our CD receipt in our platform forms. Is the W9 certification required when issuing a CD?
Answer: If you are going to start utilizing CD receipts, you will also have to execute a master CD agreement which would include your W-9 certification for all CDs open under the master agreement.
