BIO AND CONTACT INFO

QUESTION: Does the trustee of a bankruptcy have the right to enter a safe deposit box of the debtor without the debtor being present?

ANSWER: There are MANY different types of financial bankruptcies. As a former banker, I always relied on our bank's legal counsel for direction on who had right of access to a safe deposit box after we had receive legal notice. The largest potential liability in your institution is the safe deposit function. Never take chances or assume your actions will not be questioned.
