Can a revocable trust account be opened using a deceased person's SSN?
by John Burnett, BOL Guru
BIO AND CONTACT INFO

Question: Can a revocable trust account be opened using a deceased person's SSN?

Answer: I don't think you can have a revocable trust when the grantor has died. A revocable trust can only be revoked during the trustor's lifetime. On death, it becomes irrevocable or is extinguished, depending on its terms.
