A New Way to Know You're Phish Bait

Did you know that you can register your website so that you'll be notified if it appears your site is being duplicated and used for phishing attempts? CipherTrust, Inc. will monitor your site for free and notify you online. The service is through PhishRegistry.org and may act as an early warning safeguard. There is an online agreement to read. This is a new service, and you can't beat the price.

CastleCops.com and Sunbelt Software have also joined together in an effort to reduce phishing scams with "PIRT", the Phishing Incident Reporting and Termination Squad. They allow the reporting of scams, they investigate these and pursue shutting the site down. They want to compliment the actions of other organizations such as the Anti-Phishing Working Group. Again, there is no cost to report these.
