The Compliance Officer and the Red Flag Program

TODAY'S FEATURED QUESTION -- Answered by BOL Gurus Mary Beth Guard and Jack Holzknecht
Bios

Question: Would it be appropriate for the compliance officer to implement the Red Flag program?

Answer: The board of directors or an appropriate committee of the board is required to assign responsibility for implementing the Program. The regulations do not contain criteria for the person to be assigned the responsibility. The compliance officer would be an appropriate person for the assignment, but others would be equally appropriate.
