76 FR 42015 7/18/11 Final Implements § 627 of the Dodd-Frank Act, which repeals various sections of law that currently prohibit the payment of interest on demand deposits. Removes Regulation Q and its published interpretation, and removes references to Regulation Q in other regulations, interpretations and commentary.These include Comments 230.2(n)-1 and 230.7(a)(1)-5 in Supplement I to Regulation DD. Effective 7/21/11.
76 FR 20892 4/14/11 Proposed; finalized 7/18/11 Would implement § 627 of the Dodd-Frank Act, which repeals various sections of law that currently prohibit the payment of interest on demand deposits. The proposal would repeal Regulation Q and its published interpretation, and remove references to Regulation Q in other regulations, interpretations and commentary. These include Comments 230.2(n)-1 and 230.7(a)(1)-5 in Supplement I to Regulation DD. Comments were due by May 16, 2011.
