Charlotte - Mecklenburg Police Department investigates robbery at BB&T Bank
On Thursday, December 11, 2008, at approximately 4:35 p.m., two unknown suspects entered the BB&T Bank located at 8558 University City Blvd., Charlotte.
Suspect number 1 entered the bank lobby waving a handgun in each hand, and he yelled for everyone to get on the floor. Suspect number 2 climbed over the teller counter and took cash from one teller drawer. Suspect number two then climbed back over the counter and both suspects fled from the bank with cash.
With respect to new information; the bearded suspect was wearing a distinctive jacket that may be recognizable.
