Question: During 2007 Security Officers Training in Philadelphia, someone spoke about the "Clean Desk Act". Can you tell me where I can find information on this and do any of the regulatory agencies have specific regulations on this?
Answer by Randy Carey: I know of no such Act.
Answer by John Burnett: The reference may have been an attempt at humor in referring to the GLBA privacy provisions. After passage of that act, there was a great deal of concern about exposed customer information lying about on desks or in unlocked files.
