"No Hats, No Hoods, No Sunglasses" ... Wigs and Beards, Too?
John S. Burnett, Associate Editor
There's trouble in Paradise! Hawaiian media are reporting on a series of bank heists spanning over eight months. After reinterviewing witnesses and reviewing six cases dating from as early as October 2005, Honolulu police have concluded that all six -- and two failed attempts -- were committed by the same man.
The robber assumed various disguises in his exploits, including an obvious wig and fake beard, according to the authorities. His first diguise was a simple dye-job on his hair. Bank employees claimed that the disguises were so obvious during the two failed attempts -- both attempts were just after doors were locked for the day -- that they knew something was amiss.
