Arrested Man May Be Bank Heist Suspect John S. Burnett, Associate Editor
Foxboro, MA police arrested Brent Hadley last week. An alert patrolman stopped when he noticed Hadley sitting in his idling truck in a residential area. Hadley reportedly told the officer he was looking for a street that doesn't exist in Foxboro. When the officer noticed a handgun on the floor under the driver's seat, he called for backup and ordered Hadley out of the truck.
The gun turned out to be a pellet pistol, but police also found a note about a bank robbery, four hypodermic syringes and two Rhode Island vehicle plates. One of the syringes allegedly contained heroin.
Hadley's out-of-state criminal record and the bank robbery note were enough to convince a judge to set cash bail at $100,000. Hadley, charged with heroin possession, remains in jail on that charge. However, a number of area law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, told Foxboro police they are interested in Hadley for possible involvement in bank robberies in other parts of Massachusetts.
