Observant Bank Manager Helped Police

It didn't take long for Forth Worth, Texas, police to arrest the robber of a Bank of America branch, thanks to the observant branch manager.
Police say that the robber was leaving the BofA branch office shortly before noon on Monday, February 11, and crossed paths with the bank manager, who took down the license plate number of the robber's car. That information led police to a residence in east Forth Worth, where they saw a man get into that vehicle.
Robert Earl, 63, was arrested and was being held in the Tarrant County Jail Monday afternoon, waiting to be transferred to federal custody. He has numerous convictions dating back to 1975. County records show he was sentenced in 1991 to 20 years in prison on six convictions for aggravated robbery and robbery by threats.
