Geoffrey O'Shea Wright
Jeff O'Shea
Terrence McLaughlin
Whoever he is, he got busted for driving 60 in a 45 MPH zone in Maine late last week. Police don't know at this point what the 53-year old man's real name is. After his arrest, he gave inconsistent information to police, telling one officer that he had just moved to the U.S. from Ireland seven weeks ago, and telling another he had lived here since he was a small child.
Geoffrey O'Shea Wright, Jeff O'Shea, and Terrence McLaughlin are just three of the 31 aliases which the man has apparently used. He has at least four different Social Security numbers and four different birth dates. Most of his aliases have criminal records, including some for forgery.
Do you have accounts in those names?
Remember:
Just because someone says their name is a particular name doesn't mean it's true.
Just because an individual has a social security card and a social security number doesn't mean it is legitimate, or doesn't mean it belongs to them.
Just because a person presents I.D., don't automatically assume it is valid or legitimate.
Con artists are out there. Don't let them fool your employees.
The man is currently being held by the Waldo County, Maine Sheriff's Department.
