Help Debunk Hoaxes and Rumors
by Mary Beth Guard, Esq.

America is at war and unsettling events have occurred in the last month that have lots of people on edge. One thing we don't need is a spate of timewasting bogus rumors and hoaxes that tie up bandwidth, reduce productivity, and creep us out.

Get the facts -- and help debunk the urban legends and myths. When someone emails one of these "I swear it's true" tales to you, do not forward it. Instead, get the link to the page that shows it to be a rumor or hoax and transmit it to the sender. If someone verbally relates one of these hoaxes or rumors to you, let them know it's not true and tell them where they can go for confirmation.

We have plenty to do dealing with reality. None of us has time for ridiculous untruths.
