ACH Transaction Regulations
by Linda Westfall
BIO AND CONTACT INFO

QUESTION: Can you briefly tell me all the regulations involved with ACH transactions?

ANSWER: The NACHA Operating rules and Operating Guidelines govern ACH transactions. These can be found in the ACH Rules Book published by the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA). The 2001 version is the most current. Regulation E applies to ACH transactions and the IRS Electronic Funds Transfers of Federal Deposits also applies. These can also be found in the ACH Rules Book.
