Question: My appraisers are sending me these new "UAD" appraisals, but they're not PDFs anymore. How do I open and read these "MISMO .XML" files? Help!
Answer: Download the free UAD Reader. After you install it, you can double click on those .XML files, and UAD Reader will open the PDF that's enclosed in the .XML file so you can see it on screen. You can error-check it with UAD Reader's built in tools, send a copy to your borrower, and even submit the appraisal to the GSEs' UCDP for free. UAD Reader is free, so pass it along to anyone else in your office.
