Merging Data from Different Check Imaging Systems

Question: I have two check imaging systems. We purchased the old one in 1995 and a new one in 2003. Our operations department now has to do research across two systems which is not efficient or cost effective. Is there a better way?

Answer: Move the checks from the old system into the new one. You can achieve this by having an outsource service convert the old checks into plain TIFF images and their associated indexes (MICR Line) converted in COF1.4 format (the Fed's common format). Your new system will typically have an import program that will automatically ingest the old checks into the new system.

DataTrade provides the finance industry with digital to digital conversion services for document images, check images, COLD reports and data. DataTrade is expert in this field having converted terabytes of assorted content, typically from encrypted, compressed and proprietary formats to industry standard formats that can easily be imported into new systems technology.
