Need Cash During Your Las Vegas Vacation?

In some Las Vegas hotels, you can now use your remote control and your TV screen in your room and make a cash advance on your credit card.

You will be charged fees based on the amount of cash request. A $50 advance, for instance, costs $9.75, while a $1,000 transaction will cost you a $71.75 fee.

You simply enter your credit card number, and the amount of cash requested. The TV provides instructions through graphics and voice assistance.

When the transaction is complete, the screen displays a map showing you where in the casino to pick up the cash. Identification must be shown by you there.

You will be able to use your Visa, MasterCard or Discover card.

Valley Bank of Nevada, which has built a business around supplying Nevada tourists and gamblers with easy access to cash, said it might eventually offer the system to hotels nationwide.
