Question & Answer

Question: Can we protest a two week late return? How do we do it?

Answer: You sure can. Your Federal Reserve has a form that you can fill out and send the returned item back to wherever you got it from. Call your local Federal Reserve office and talk to their adjustment department and ask for some blanks. In your case, after a two week delay, no matter what the reason for return, they should be sending it to you "without entry" through the United States mail, not through the work.

Comment: Your article, "Know Your Customer Caveat", in the last issue [Vol. 4, #11] referred to prohibiting the requirement of a driver's license for identification which has been incurred by the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). In your editor's note following the article you pointed out that "?of course, if your customer is at the drive-in window and is driving the car, it's safe to assume a driver's license is available."

May I point out we should never assume anything, especially when it comes to banking and our government! Remember, it's the ADA that insists that we put instructions and keys in braille on our drive-up ATM. Think about it!
