How Secure Are Your Computers?

The November theft of a computer from Visa International's data processing offices has alerted security officers in financial institutions to increase security on their own computers.

Investigators say the computer was probably taken for the hardware. However, the hard drive has 314,000 accounts stored on it.

It would be a major disaster for that same financial institution to have the information in that computer available to a thief.
