Sprint is using its mobile phone network and technology by iAnywhere Solutions to offer a service that financial institutions can use to reach their small and independent business owners. The service lets bank employees process loans, establish accounts, transfer funds and complete other financial transactions using wireless handheld devices certified to work on Sprint's nationwide network.

Sprint Mobile Loan Officer allows bank representatives to tap into bank information and applications at times and locations most convenient to the businesses. While the service can be used to help any size business, Sprint says the service is ideal for reaching small and independent businesses, which find it difficult to find time to conduct business during traditional banking hours.
