BSA Bulletin Board System
The Bank Secrecy Act Bulletin Board System is now up and running and can be accessed through telephone number:
The line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week from Detroit. The only cost involved is that of your telephone access, which probably will be a long distance call charge. Any computer and communications software from a 300 through a 9600 baud modem can access the system.
This specially designed automated system offers access to timely information about commonly asked BSA questions, administrative rulings, magnetic filing specifications and other issues concerning the BSA and anti-money laundering rules.
The service is being implemented jointly by the Treasury Department's Office of Financial Enforcement and the Internal Revenue Service Detroit Computing Center.
