Question: This is probably a silly question, but we're curious. Where does the information come from in your statistics column? Do you have a source that gives you those?

Answer: Not a silly question at all-but a lot of work. No, we don't have a "source". What we do have is 54 subscriptions that come into the office that are read-or at least scanned. I keep writing material with me all the time-for those bits of information that come from radio or TV programs that "fit". Just before we go to press I remove all my notes indicating where I got the statistic-but that information is in my permanent file just in case I should ever need it.
