They Can Find It

ATMs are being placed into convenience stores, grocery stores and shopping malls. They enhance customer service and generate income, but these smaller, lighter machines create a new risk. The size advantage that allows them to be placed in these new and creative locations also allows them to be carried away with a hand truck in a matter of minutes.

But now there is a system call the ATM Global Positioning System. Using the same network of satellites used for aviation and navigation all over the world, it combines with cellular technology to locate any ATM anywhere in the world in minutes.

If the ATM is stolen, the system locates itself and transmits its location to a monitoring center. The ATM can be located before the thieves even have a chance to attack it!
